National Lawyers Guild - Maryland Chapter | Nonprofit organization comprised of attorneys, legal workers, judges, law clerks, pro bono legal service providers and law students working to further the social justice, economic and human rights agenda on the local level.  

Public Justice Center | Works with people and communities to confront the laws, practices, and institutions that cause injustice, poverty, and discrimination. We use innovative tools and strategies to strengthen social movements and achieve high impact policy change. 

Black Movement-Law Project | Supporting liberation by helping build the legal infrastructure necessary to protect emerging local movements.

Center for Constitutional Rights | dedicated to advancing and protecting the rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. CCR is committed to the creative use of law as a positive force for social change. 

Justice Policy Institute | national nonprofit organization that changes the conversation around justice reform and advances policies that promote well-being and justice for all people and communities. JPI's research and analyses identify effective programs and policies that are disseminated to the media, policymakers and advocates. JPI also provides training and technical assistance to people working for justice reform.

Law for Black Lives | #Law4BlackLives is a network of over 2000 radical lawyers, law students, and legal workers of color committed to building the power of the Black Lives Matter movement. Formed out of the uprisings in Ferguson & Baltimore, we use the law to embolden, defend and protect the growing movement for Black liberation.  L4BL started as a 2-day convening organized by Center for Constitutional Rights along with a steering committee of visionary legal thinkers in August of 2015. The success of the convening made it clear that the time is now to build a legal arm for the movement for Black lives.
